5 Star's Leadership
In a Direct Democracy you - the member, the voter, the person who engages us in debate - are precisely as significant as the party leader.
We oppose the failed system of representative democracy and don't want to encourage the old, acquired habit of focussing on individuals and looking to the charisma of a single champion as the basis for the United Kingdom's hope. If the UK is to have a happy, prosperous, secure future this can only come about by changing the current system in which the super-rich pull the strings from behind closed doors, for a system of direct democracy, in which the power to determine the nation's future is transferred to the people.
Legally, we're required to have a party leader, and we have one. You can read about his duties and obligations in our party's constitution, but in practice, the party is run by the Executive Board - a group that fluctuates in size but at any time comprises at least 10 members.
The members of the Board come from a broad range of philosophical and religious backgrounds (Atheists, Agnostics, Born-again Christians, Humanists); and a range of work backgrounds including, currently, British Army veterans, engineers, a former Texas Governmental bureaucrat, an ex-military intelligence officer, and a private military contractor and former Davos World Economic Forum attendee 🤨
